Asep is known as one of the very greatest Jimi Hendrix - Tributes out there.
When he played with original Hendrix-Bassist Noel Redding in 2003, he stated: „Playing with Asep was the closest thing to playing with Hendrix.“

Asep Stone was born in Bandung, Indonesia, in 1968. As a child, he spent up to 18 hours a day teaching himself to play the guitar. He played his first gig at the “Gladiator Rocks Festival” in Bandung at the age of sixteen in front of 20’000 spectators. At the age of eighteen, he was looking for a challenge in the wide world and bought a one-way ticket to England - with just a guitar, a small amplifier and a few clothes in his luggage. He toured the UK with his own band “Stone Free” and in 2004 was invited to perform at a Jimi Hendrix auction together with the original Hendrix bassist Noel Redding. The concert was broadcast live on the BBC. After the concert, Redding described Asep as “the closest thing to Hendrix”. In 2007, he moved to Zurich, from where he now plays concerts all over the world with the “Asep Stone Experience Show” and his own music.
