info
Sacro e Profano is a musical journey through time, languages and styles, inspired by an intriguing blend of italian bel canto and international jazz culture.
This duo is by no means a minimal ensemble, thanks to the ingenious research of different guitar timbres conjuring up an almost orchestral sense of depth and richness: hence, the "3D Guitar" brand.
Simona and Paolo have been extensively touring Italy together, clocking up many a mile and developing their Jazz and Swing expertise throughout the years. Swinging, no pun intended, from timeless standards to latin bossa rhythms (with a touch of cuban), their heartfelt fascination with italian author’s songs remains nevertheless palpable.
Sacro e Profano is the musical product of two creative minds, two skilled professionals revisiting and mashing up songs from different eras and styles, blending them together in a new, unique language.
It is a life entirely devoted to music set forth with thorough enjoyment, for an exciting journey into sound.
Sacro e Profano is the natural result of his intensive live touring with Simona Grasso, playing the most important italian venues and festivals: from Milan’s Blue Note to SHG Milan, SHG Naples, Sarzana’s Acoustic Meeting, Guitar Beyond and Disma Music Italy Show in Bologna.
Repertori:
The Girl From Ipanema', 'Mas Que Nada', 'Wave').
