"Pirmin Huber Swiss Folk" was founded with the idea to amaze the audience with fascinating combinations of archaic Swiss folk music and pop-jazz.
Pirmin Huber works with different full-time music colleagues in the formation "Pirmin Huber Swiss Folk". This allows him to put the formation together in a variable way, both instrumentally and musically.

Pirmin Huber grew up in a family of folk musicians in the canton of Schwyz. Since early childhood, he played music in traditional "Stubeten". He first concentrated on learning the trumpet, later the double bass.
In 2016, he completed his jazz studies at the Lucerne University of Music. Also in 2016, he received a commission from Pro Helvetia to compose a work for the ländler orchestra for the "Stubete am See".
In the meantime, the versatile Swiss double bass player and composer has established himself in contemporary, new Swiss folk music and electronic music (live).
With his double bass, e-contrabass, Büchel or Ableton Push, he performs in various formations at public and private concerts in Switzerland and abroad. At his concerts, he convinces his audiences with his open, cordial manner and with his outstanding musical skills.
In addition to appearances on radio and television, he also participates in various record productions.
He teaches as a music teacher at music schools and conducts workshops for jazz as well as new and old folk music.
