biography
Flarestar is a Galaxy Rock duo based in Nyon, composed of a dynamic partnership between Stef Pasternak and Matt Welling. Stef was a founding member of the bands Swab (Paléo, Rock Oz' Arènes, Caprice Festival), Meïan (Rock Altitude, Mariane Faithful) and TFM (Bannerman's, Nice'n'sleazy) and Matt of the bands With May (Music in the Park, Montreux) and TFM (Bannerman's, Nice'n'sleazy).
Both multi-instrumentalists, they have a clear vision that
within the band there would be no defined roles and that all avenues must be explored. When asked to describe themselves, their music, their background and their relationship, they simply answer,
"When a bright star far out in the universe emits massive and unpredictable energy, that energy has a name, Flarestar.
