In der vom Arbeitsamt widerwillig zusammengewürfelten Gruppe finden sich ein Möchtegern-Hardrock-Gitarrist, ein klassischer Geiger, ein ausgemusterter Armeetubist und ein arbeitsloser Discodrummer zusammen, weshalb das Repertoire als gutschweizerischer Kompromiss mehr als nur flexibel interpretiert wird. Die Hitsköpfe köpfen Hits, reduzieren sie im Quartett auf das Unwesentliche, betreiben tagesaktuelles, massenuntaugliches Musikrecycling. Die vier Scharfrichter des schlechten Geschmacks demonstrieren gnadenlos, dass Dieter Bohlen noch seichter ist als Boney M. und dass Britney Spears bedeutend mehr Gras geraucht haben muss als das Trio Eugster. Im Gegensatz zu letzterem spielen die Hitsköpfe

ihre knüppelharten Grooves und abgedrehten Arrangements aber immer live und ohne Playback. Sie sind die erste Boyband für Leute ab 40: Hits von 1930 bis 2021, geschüttelt, nicht gerührt, akustisch und 100% handgemacht. Jugendfrei, bildungsfern und gehörverträglich.
