AndHerb ...
At times wistful, mostly exuberant, a bit headstrong and occasionally rebellious. AndHerb would have made a bloody good Irishman, that's for sure. But his roots lie in the Bernese Seeland, another green corner of the world that’s dotted with waters. But even though his love for Irish music didn't come from his ancestors, the singer/songwriter with the unmistakable voice has been touring the country for years with his own original songs. In short: When AndHerb hits the strings, every venue turns into an "Irish Pub". His new album "It's a long way to Flodigarry Hotel" is audible proof of this.
Solo, duo, trio or with the Red Hair Express: AndHerb plays in several formations. In the full line-up with the Red Hair Express, he is accompanied by Riccardo Aebi (bass), Bruno Vollenweider (drums) and Chrigä Flückiger (violin). By the way, you won't find any red hair on stage, but you will hear the finest Irish sound - folky, jazzy, rocky - occasionally punky and always passionate.
