biography
Nicolò Intraprende lo studio del Saxofono a 12 anni. La prima esperienza musicale è di tipo bandistico: dal 2003 al 2016 è Primo Saxofono Contralto presso il “Corpo Musicale La Volpina” di Lesa. Il suo naturale talento lo porta negli anni a far parte di numerose band e formazioni musicali in cui, a seconda del genere, utilizza tutti i tagli dello strumento. Attualmente è membro dei “Mad Groove & The Soul Doctors”, del “Modern Sax Quartet”, della Big Band milanese
“Basically Swing Jokerstra” e di “Accademia Big Band”, con cui ha accompagnato ospiti di caratura internazionale quali Andrea Tofanelli e Chris Collins. Collabora con numerose realtà bandistiche ed è docente di Saxofono, Propedeutica Musicale, Teoria, Solfeggio ed Armonia presso la “San Giorgio Music Band” di Mercurago, la “Filarmonica Giacomo Puccini” di Suno e del “Corpo Musicale di Baveno”. Allievo dal 2014 al 2016 del M° Claudio Guida, nel 2017 è ammesso come primo in graduatoria al Corso di Laurea in Saxofono Jazz presso il Conservatorio “Giuseppe Verdi” di Milano sotto la guida del M° Tino Tracanna. Durante gli anni di studio collabora con le formazioni più importanti e prestigiose del Conservatorio, tra cui la “Verdi Jazz Orchestra” e l’ “Orchestra Nazionale Jazz Dei Conservatori Italiani” con le quali ha accompagnato grandi solisti di livello nazionale ed internazionale quali John Surmann, Robert Bonisolo, Matt Renzi, Paolo Fresu, Fabrizio Bosso e Mario Biondi. Proprio con la “Verdi Jazz Orchestra” nel Gennaio 2021 ha registrato per Rai Storia il concerto “Note per la Shoah” trasmesso in diretta nazionale. Nel corso degli anni ha partecipato a numerosi Master tenuti da alcune delle figure più importanti del panorama Jazzistico italiano ed internazionale, tra cui Jerry Bergonzi, Greg Osby, Tino Tracanna, Morten Halle, Enrico Pierannunzi, Chris Collins e Claudio “Wally” Allifranchini. Amico di Claudio Zolla, titolare della “Rampone&Cazzani Handmade Italian Saxophones”, possiede e utilizza i suoi strumenti.
