L’ orchestrina KATERINKE è una formazione musicale composta da musicisti provenienti da differenti esperienze musicali e teatrali, ma ma accomunati dall’interesse per la musica tradizionale dell’est Europa, in particolare quella klezmer e dalle sue contaminazioni con sonorità Greche, macedoni, balcaniche e Rom
Il nostro concerto è solitamente pensato come un viaggio attraverso quelle che noi amiamo chiamare “terre di confine” non un esatto luogo geografico ma le terre del nomadismo,
dove la musica diventa casa, rifugio, ristoro, “heimat”.
È un viaggio alla scoperta delle atmosfere allegre di queste tradizioni, delle tracce che lasciano al loro passaggio, dei colori e delle danze, musiche da matrimonio, canzoni per addormentarsi cullati, melodie che ci ricordano i ghetti sparsi in Europa, inni di speranza e di lotta.
