Pigeons on the Gate is firstly about passion. Pure passion. Their music originated from the fascination with Irish melodies and rhythms but has since travelled a long way. Always on the search for "their sound" the band has skilfully shifted from Irish Traditional Folk to "Pigeons Folk" - a unique combination of energetic guitars, driving beats and gut-wrenching melodies.
Their sound has become too complex to be played in a pub, but it has preserved its intimate and very personal message that speaks to the audience. Their music evokes the feeling of stadium rock meeting a lonely Irish Coast.
