This project, which began as the theme of my thesis and final recital, explores the theme of water through a selection of pieces deeply inspired by this universal and fascinating element, perfectly harmonizing with the setting of Lake Como and Lugano: the place where I grew up.
Water, with its strength, beauty, and transformative power, has always played a central role in history, mythology, art, and particularly in music, inspiring composers from various eras. In my concert, I offer a musical journey that spans the French Impressionism of Debussy and Ravel, leading up to the Romanticism of Liszt, providing the audience with an immersive and contemplative experience. Each composition has been carefully chosen to evoke the multiple dimensions of water: from the serenity of a stream to the overwhelming power of a storm.
Beyond being an artistic experience, this concert lends itself to deep reflections on the significance of water in our lives, making it particularly suitable for cultural events aimed at raising public awareness on themes that resonate with the deeper chords of our unconscious.
