RELLEY PEEL aus München sind die vier Musiker Filip Dascalu (Gitarre), Thomas Kriesmann (Schlagzeug, Gesang), Friedhelm Wapelhorst (Bass, Gesang) und Florian Wiegmann (Gesang). Das Motto der Band lautet „We keep the party bubbling!“ und sie lassen ihr Publikum mit einer Deluxe-Auswahl feinster Blues- und Rock-Klassiker im wahrsten Sinne prickeln, sprudeln und schäumen. Das Repertoire der Band ist eine Reminiszenz an Musik-Legenden, wie z.B. Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Eric Clapton, John
Mayer, Led Zeppelin (und zwar weder mit „Stairway To Heaven“ noch „Whole Lotta Love“) und vielen anderen mehr.
Die Band wurde 2016 mit dem mutigen Anspruch gegründet, dem Publikum eine besonders edle Auswahl von bekannten, aber selten live gespielten Covers auf musikalisch hohem Niveau zu servieren. Thomas Kriesmann spielt die Grooves des Band-Repertoires mit einem energiegeladenen Punch und einer mitreißend leichten Drum-Signature. Friedhelm Wapelhorsts Bass schiebt den Rhythmus wie eine Hochpräzisionsdampfmaschine. Filip Dascalu entlockt seinen meisterhaft in Eigenbau gefertigten Gitarren jede nur denkbare Gefühlslage – Wut, Angst, Hunger, Lust und alles andere drum herum und dies stets mit tighter, funkiger Hand. Florian Wiegmann interpretiert die Songtexte nicht nur neu und ergreifend, sondern haut dabei Stimmfärbungen raus, die sich beim Hörer auf ewig einprägen.
Der Sound von RELLEY PEEL ist für eine Vierer-Besetzung ungewöhnlich groß und voll, aber auch gleichzeitig klar und echt. Das Programm der Band reicht mittlerweile für drei Stunden Unterhaltung.
