Il progetto Scarlett Smokes ha inizio nel settembre del 2013 quando Mauro Ranucoli (chitarrista) e Marco Campise (bassista) si ritrovano dopo diversi anni per scrivere nuovi brani. Rapidamente trovano un batterista (Stefano Tomamichel) che fa al caso loro. I tre cominciano a trovarsi regolarmente per arrangiare i pezzi e nel frattempo continua la ricerca di un cantante. Nel mese di novembre la band conosce la line up attuale con l'arrivo di Luca Lanini alla voce.
Durante la prima metà
del 2014 gli sforzi della band sono orientati nel preparare quattro pezzi da registrare in studio. In giugno la band è pronta per la registrazione e in settembre esce l'omonimo EP (disponibile sulla pagina mx3).
