Interview with Rachel Carmen

1. What has changed for you since you signed up with Stagend?

Since I registered with Stagend (2015), I've been able to see more and more success year after year, which meant more bookings coming in. Of course, that encouraged me to become self-employed in 2017 and live solely from music. It certainly involves a lot of hard work, the occasional side job, but above all a great and wonderful collaboration with Stagend ;) I now handle all my booking inquiries exclusively through Stagend. THANK YOU!

2. What do you like best about Stagend?

What I really like about Stagend is that they support me with my admin work (which I'm not so keen on). That means I can rely on the fact that once a booking is confirmed, I don't have to worry about contracts and finances anymore. It all runs completely automatically. That helps me enormously and saves me a lot of time. This way I can focus entirely on my job.

3. What do you think of how the platform is structured?

The platform is very user-friendly and well-designed. For entertainers as well as for event organizers.

4. Is it worth signing up with Stagend?

Signing up with Stagend is definitely worth it. You can gain great experience, develop further and on top of that your profile grows too ;) Instead of just performing for family and friends, you get to know new people here and might get booked again or they recommend you to someone else. That's really great.

5. How does the payout work?

Payment is made the day after the event takes place. That means at the latest after 3 days the fee is with me (e.g. weekend).

6. What is Stagend's support like?

Stagend's support is excellent. They help with current bookings, often follow up if we're hesitant with the quote. Or they give us information if the client is very interested, or still needs time to think or has questions directly. The Stagend team is very helpful with problems or if a client is unsure, they ask the client. They're really very competent, super fast and always helpful and very friendly. Really cool people :)

7. What feedback have you received from event organizers?

The feedback from event organizers is always very positive. They really appreciate Stagend's support.

8. What was the best performance you got through Stagend?

Every performance I've received through Stagend so far has been great. So many wonderful moments; funny, beautiful and also emotional performances. I've already sung at so many lovely weddings, and each time I was moved to tears, and I was able to perform for a birthday party with the whole 6-piece band and the stage was just gigantic! In the background there were about 12 LED light elements and they were gigantically large. I've never seen anything like that at a private event before. That was an experience!

9. What would you advise newcomers?

I would tell newcomers: stick with it! At the beginning everything is new and you hesitate and don't really know if you're writing the right thing or what the organizer is exactly looking for. My tip: send as many quotes as you can, ask the organizer what exactly they're looking for if the inquiry is too vague, and above all be quick. Best to reply within a few hours or certainly on the same day (if possible). But from event to event and from year to year there will be more bookings and it's worth it. If you enjoy entertaining and need support, this is the perfect platform. For newcomers, professionals and hobby entertainers.

10. Where do you see yourself with your music in 5 years?

Since I'm currently in Los Angeles to expand my musical knowledge and improve myself, I'm hoping to get more concerts and also play more in public locations. Maybe also increasingly play my own songs - all of that of course in collaboration with Stagend. New music coming soon :)
