The trio proposes a repertoire of traditional Irish and Italian tunes interpreted with original and sparkling arrangements, alternating with original compositions, which also share a Celtic flavour. The pure and magic tone of the harp and the bowed psaltery intermingle with that of the guitar and the wonderful fusion of the three voices evokes dreamlike and airy atmospheres, which are simultaneously joyful and light. The wide-ranging musical experiences of the individual members converge to create arrangements that display influences from many varied musical genres ranging from classical to ancient music, from Gregorian chant to musical, from folk to jazz.
The show can last from 45 to 95 minutes.
The trio has performed in several festivals in Italy and abroad, in theatres, churches and private concerts.
The Ensemble Sangineto arises from the ten-year musical partnership of the twins Adriano and Caterina Sangineto, children of the well-known harp and psaltery maker Michele Sangineto. In August 2012 the guitarist and singer Tiziano Cogliati joined the original duo to form ESG-Ensemble Sangineto. Since then the ESG trio has rapidly established itself in the Celtic music scene in Italy and abroad. After their debut at the “Festival Interceltique de Lorient” (France), the group has taken part in many major musical events such as the Festivals “Celtica” (Courmayeur), “San Patrizio Milano Festival”, “Lo Spirito del Pianeta” (Chiuduno), “Folkest” (Spilimbergo), “Catalunya celta” (Barcelona), “Escenarios de Verano” (Alcázar de San Juan, Spain), “Deerlycke Folkfestival” (Deerlijk, Belgium), “Folkfestival Ham” (Ham, Belgium), “7 Chapelles en Arts” (Guidel, France).
