Il nuovo lavoro della storica rock band che sposa il grunge con l’alternative rock internazionale è stato realizzato con il producer e engineer Pietro Foresti (tra i suoi credits internazionali c’è l’ex Guns n’ Roses Tracii Guns, Marvin Etzioni dei Counting Crows) tra il Ticino e gli Stati Uniti
Dodici brani in uscita per la primavera, che registrano un salto di qualità ed impatto sonoro: «Volevamo ottenere un sound “vero”, dinamico ed emotivo – dice il chitarrista della band Marcello Cantù – insieme ad un produttore dal background americano abbiamo ricreato su disco tutte le atmosfere e le sfumature che hanno da sempre contraddistinto i Koan, ma con un tocco di qualità in più».

“Agropyron Repens” è il nome latino della gramigna, pianta famosa per crescere in condizioni climatiche avverse ed improbabili e leit motive della band fin dagli esordi.

Biography

The KOAN project was formed in Ticino Switzerland in 2006.
The powerful musical tracks and melodic voice distinguishes the genre which is defined as "Grunge-Cross-Core" in which all their musical influences accompany each member in his own musical experience.

KOAN performs in various areas including from the Gottard alps down to the Italian penisula, teaming up with renowned international bands such as: No use for a name (USA), Useless ID (Israel), The Movement(DK), Natan (Belgium), Elvenking (Italy) and Eluvetie (Switzerland).

The third album entitled A-SESSION (acoustic) will be published on 11 November 2011. A-SESSION is presented in five radio and four music magazines with excellent review.
The band reaches a great line-up and a good grouve.
