What makes Stagend attractive to investors

Today I'd like to explain what makes Stagend attractive to investors, how we will use the funds raised and outline the potential benefits.

Why Invest

More and more often there are moments of togetherness in everyone's life, be it for meaningful moments or for a clear and defined purpose. Companies, in particular, are increasingly recognising the power of company culture and thus convivial moments are on the rise. And Stagend is positioned right there, between those who organise events and those who create  moments. 

Here are some numbers:

• Constant growth since 2015: average 40% annual increase in the value of requests.
  
• B2B sales increase: in 2022 the B2B segment had +88% sales compared to 2019 and in the first 3 months of 2023 +85% compared to 2022.
  
• Growing events industry: according to a 2022 report by Allied Market Research, the growth of the global events market will continue in the coming years, with a projected CAGR (compound annual growth rate) of 11.2% from 2021 to 2028, for an expected total worldwide volume of USD 1’552 billion.
  
• Our long-term goal:  focus on the B2B segment in the DACH region, which is worth $7 billion, with 5.5 million events each year.
  
• AI-based system: implementing our algorithm in 2022 resulted in a +126% increase in customer activation and 43% of customers choose an entertainer from the first list generated by the matching system
  
• Operative breakeven: with our net revenue we manage to cover the operating costs, such as booking agents' salaries and the budget for marketing, servers and IT services. This also creates a margin that partially covers overhead costs but does not allow us to invest in growth.
  
• Early Stage. Stagend has the opportunity to become the leading European provider of entertainers for events. As the company grows, so does the value of its shares. Today you have the opportunity to buy shares in a startup valued at  CHF 4.7 million in its early stages.

Use of investment

Thanks to the awards we won, the first private investors and an institutional investor, we were able to finance the IT development and the launch of our booking platform between 2015 and 2016. Now, since 2022 after the pandemic, we keep growing, but we still lack funding to realise our full potential.

With this crowdinvesting campaign, we’re raising capital for investments in the following areas:

• Staff recruitment: we want to push proactive sales and increase the number of bookings and their budgets.
• Technology development: although we've already improved our AI system quite a bit, we always strive to develop it further to increase the success rate.
• Marketing: we have embraced values and visions that are important to us and that we want to share. In order to promote our identity and strengthen the relationship with our partners and customers, we'd like to implement a large-scale digital branding project.
• Product expansion: the user experience is very important for satisfaction and customer loyalty, and as close our relationship with our entertainers and customers already is, we want to further nurture and intensify the relationship by offering a system that is easy to use on the one hand, and increases profitability up to the break-even point on the other hand - the crowning final project.

 

Investing in these areas means investing in our growth plan, which has two main objectives: (1) to further establish ourselves on the Swiss market and thus double our bookings and (2) to prepare the company for scale growth and thus better structure ourselves internally at team level.

 

Benefits

There are 3 possible scenarios in the future:

1. As Stagend grows, the value of the shares also increases. If a new investor were to come in, he might want to buy the participation certificates from the current shareholders. You then have the opportunity to decide whether or not to sell at the valuation at that time.
2. There’s a chance that the startup decides to sell to another company. In this case (exit), the proceeds of the sale are distributed pro rata to all shareholders.
3. In case there is a profit, the company may decide to pay a dividend. However, at this point we'd like to say that the profits of the next 2-3 years will be reinvested in order to maximise the company's growth and valuation.
