Il duo Jazz composto da Marco Conti al contrabbasso e Luciano Zadro alla chitarra prevede un repertorio che spazia dagli standards americani degli anni ‘40-’70, alla bossa nova brasiliana, a qualche brano pop, con arrangiamenti rivisitati per il duo.
Il loro affiatamento sviluppatosi nel corso di oltre venti anni di costanti collaborazioni e la loro alta preparazione musicale fanno si che il duo riesce a creare un gioco di scambi musicali, rendendo la musica vivace, giocosa ed intima nello
stesso tempo.
Marco Conti studia basso elettrico e contrabbasso negli USA, diplomandosi “Magna cum Laude” nel 1987 al Berklee College of Music di Boston. Approfondisce improvvisazione, ear training e composizione con Jerry Bergonzi e Charlie Banacos e perfeziona tecnica dello strumento con Anthony Cox, Lenny Plaxico e Jeff Andrews. Negli Stati Uniti suona in varie formazioni con musicisti quali Karl Berger, Salvatore Bonafede, Mike Rosen, Fabio Morgera e Dave Kikowsky. In Italia segue corsi di approfondimento con Furio di Castri e Paolo Fresu e seminari con John Scofield, Marc Johnson, Miroslav Vitous e Gary Willis, ad alcuni dei quali partecipa in qualità di assistente.
Le sue esperienze compositive e concertistiche, oltre all’inclinazione jazz, si aprono alla musica classica ed etnica.
