We played in very different situations ( by marriage , in restaurants , to the classical concert ) , always involving and amusing the audience . Our repertoire ranges from classical jazz to latin , funk , ballad , film music and modern songs revisited in jazz . We are also an original group because it isn't frequent a trio composed of only women who play drums, sax and piano and sing .

Fragaria Vesca Trio was founded in late 2013 by a group of three 'girls' with different musical experiences and a common matrix in jazz. It takes its name from the wild strawberries ('Fragaria vesca') and has a repertoire ranging from swing to latin to funk. It 's quite unusual in the world of Italian jazz, which for many years has been predominantly male. The trio is composed of Daniela Barbera at piano, Elena Valnegri on sax and vocals, and Emanuela Morandini on
drums.
