La Pelikan Jazz Band suona in acustico ricreando, con vestiti e strumenti in puro dixieland-style, le calde atmosfere degli anni'20 del secolo scorso ; un viaggio in musica lungo il Missisipi, da New Orleans a Chicago, tra struggenti Blues e Charleston sincopati. Il repertorio si concentra principalmente sulla fedele riproduzione dei brani più interessanti e paradossalmente meno conosciuti della tradizione hot degli anni '20, attraverso arrangiamenti e trascrizioni fedeli ai dischi,
lasciando comunque largo spazio all'improvvisazione dei suoi solisti.
Nata a Milano nell'Ottobre del 2012 la giovane formazione è composta da sei musicisti:
